English Version of Poll System

Before I had invented a Chinese Version of Vote system, today I made a English Version of Poll System. I used Poll as English Version’s term and I found that no big difference between Vote and Poll…

In this English Version, I have updated some functions.

The options can choose is changed to minimum 2 and maximum 8, and the previous version is fixed into 4 options. It is meant that we can make question with number of answers whatever you liked.

The questions can be divided into different categories. In default, the General category is placing some general question. I will create as many as I can of the category. First of all, I had created a Computer category.

At first, I created a few of questions which concerning about computer.

And now try to install on my blog and also my good friends had supported me too.

The interface of the Poll system has no big change while functions changed a lot.

Additionally, I provide the Poll code generation tool along with it to let user easily customize their polling which placed in their blogs or web site.

It is also opened to user to suggest their own question. http://web.qxinnet.com/script/poll/suggest.php

When user click the button options, it will open a window that shows the polling chart.

As anyone can see, at the top it show the polling chart, and also state the author of the poll. At the below has some external texts and links. Currently, I had placed the show up web site, which to show the web site link that had already installed this poll application in their blogs or web site.

The figure above shows the poll question submission page. Anyone who you are you can suggest your own designed question. You can design your own subject or topic of question, you can fill in your own answer or option with minimum 2 options and maximum 8 options. You can add a row below of each answer or delete the specified row. You can also adjust the order of the answer by simply clicking the up and down link of each answer row. Later on, you can select a category which suitable for your question. If you found that your poll question is being completed, you can click Submit to submit your question.

Last, you need to wait for 24 hours or less to let our administrator to review your question. Any type of question we will accept except some ugly question with ugly text.

For the next development of this poll application, I would like to implement the NEXT Question which using the cross-domain AJAX scripting to do it. It is to let the user easily change the question which not refresh the page to load the new question. And thanks to A!vis giving this suggestions.

Next, I will try upgrade the Chinese Version to this new structure.

Later on, I will try making some Discuz! forum plugin and maybe Vista Sidebar Gadget. Yes, I will not forget to implement poll system of English Version on Facebook.

First HTML class

Today, the Friday morning, 8.00 a.m., I attended my first HTML class in INTI. It is quite excited when come to study HTML, a markup language to design web page.

First of all, my lecturer, called Miss Leow, she is a Chinese teacher.

In this class, she taught us the simple thing of HTML, HyperText Markup Language, from the simple HTML open and close tag, then taught us head and body of the web page. She taught us some simple text formatting knowledge and simple symbol. Some symbol I haven’t see it before. Here I do some revision for the symbol.

And also she taught us the superscript and subscript then I use this write a chemical symbol.

After that, she taught me the marquee and also give us a home work to find that what else the properties can put inside of the marquee to determine its direction, behaviour, and etc.

These are stuffs that learnt by today.

Moral Class of normative statements

Today I participated in Moral class and I saw four old friends of last semester. We grouped together to do the assignment and project. At the beginning of this time I will feel more secure.

Today we learnt about the normative statements and descriptive statements. Normative statements can be said as a value judgement. Normative statements can divided into deontic and aretaic judgement. Deontic judgement is more on certain action or behaviour taken by a person. For example, a people should not buy or sell shares with intention of gambling. While aretaic judgement is not concern with behaviour, it more keen on motives of one person. For example, a smart investor will not gamble in buy or sell shares. Deontic judgement has a mean of "advised", the people is advised that not to gamble. Although buy or sell shares is not offended by gods, but with the intention of gambling already morally bad.

The lecturer also taught us that some conflicts on how to rise it. There are many conflicts between races or organization and how it rise? Maybe it rises from a small problems. For example, there are two girls are good friends. One day, a girl’s pen is missing. She suspected the other girl steal her pen. After that, they begin arguing till fighting. Maybe one of the girls talk to her boyfriend about this. Her boyfriend then find his gangs, to bully that girl, or maybe that girl also talk to her boyfriend… And you will see two groups of people are fighting. And maybe later some people are from KL, some people are from JB, they fight include Malay and Chinese, then you will see there is a quarrel between Malay and Chinese, Islam with Christians. So, lastly, why the conflicts raised? From a small problem, will let people hate on each other long times. We only can say that they are free from moral values.

I have more things to learn yet.

Sun Certified Training RM1500, should I?

Yesterday, I went to a lecturer’s house at Melati in 6.00pm. I asked him about Sun Certified stuff.

Then, at the first, he began to promote the Sun Certified Training in his house. There are four weeks, four days in a week, two hours in a day. At almost 25 students pass this exam from 2005. He gave me to see a lot of certification which got by his students. He said, with his teaching, whoever definitely getting Sun Certification.

What benefits’ of getting Sun Certification?

Getting Sun Certification will have big benefit when we going to getting a job. The employee mainly will have interview with you, testing with your knowledge skills, for example in Java Programming language, how you to prepare to fulfil the business needs using the Java Programming language, and etc. If you show this Sun Certification, the employee with directly accept you to give you a job.

Sun Certification actually a paper, certify you have a good knowledge in Java, means you very familiar and clearly about Java and you able to use Java to solve various business problems.

It is meant that when you getting Sun Certification, you can find jobs throughout the world.

RM1500 training in his house

He provides me RM1500 training in his house. In this one month training, he will give me three books which can not buy from outside. He will provide me his notes as well as other Sun Certification learning materials.

Hard to consider

As I now waiting for PTPTN, it is already approved, but I haven’t see the real money. So as this may be the burden of my family, so I telephoned mother about this thing and she not guarantee can afford it. So this time I must be waiting.

Some consideration…

I’m not very sure later day when I graduated what jobs, where jobs to be. Using Java or not. But I very sure that Java is getting important as well. If going through training by that lecturer, I can definitely pursue my dream. If trying myself, I have not confidence I can pass it because before I had done some exercises online I found that I getting fail grade. Maybe have a training is better than myself.

So, now I only need to wait for PTPTN and also the Chinese new year, my parents will come INTI to take me and directly back to Penang. At that time, we can consider about it. I will try to convince with my parents, and find a way to solve this problem. Sun certification maybe the important aspects.

I’m not very sure except this semester or next semester to complete the Sun Certification, which time is more suitable for me, later semester, after graduation? I think if latter that is no more time to me. I don’t want more excuse.

Think about it.

Apply Sun Certified

Today I need to go to apply for Sun Certified Exam.

Actually last semester I already go to asked a lecturer, but because he need to back to India so I waited for now.

This several days I found the ATM got problem, so I can not get the money fee which to pay for the Sun Certified. But today I don’t need to wait anymore I will go to apply first, to ask some questions first.

I saw from online that Sun Certified seem divided into different groups. Like Edition 5, and 6. The different is 6 is the newest version of the Sun Certified. Maybe it will harder than other. But I think I will choose 6 because the question I practiced online all is the 6 one.

Yesterday when I went to toilet, I saw my Java lecturer, she asked me if I asked for Sun Certified. I talk her that I will ask later.

Today my class is around 2pm to 4pm. I just waked up and this time I would like to take bath and try to go to ask. And later I need go to the lab do to something that can’t doing in hostel.
